The data foundation is structured around Companies as the primary customer record. Opportunities and their related activities and quotes belong to companies, with Media documents attachable to key records.
- Contact belongs to Company — to associate individuals with a customer organization.
- Opportunity belongs to Company — every sales deal is associated with a specific customer.
- Activity belongs to Opportunity — interactions are primarily tied to specific sales deals for context.
- Product / Service — no parent, acts as a standalone catalog.
- Quote belongs to Opportunity — proposals are created for specific sales opportunities.
- Media belongs to Company, also belongs to Opportunity and Quote — shared storage for files related to customer accounts, deals, and proposals.
