How it fits together

The data is structured around central Company records, with related information nested beneath. Projects and activities are linked to specific companies or projects, and media files can be attached to both companies and projects.

• Contact belongs to Company — each contact person is associated with a specific client or partner company.
• Project belongs to Company — each project is undertaken for a specific client or partner company.
• Activity belongs to Project (and also Company) — activities track interactions related to a specific project, or general interactions with a company.
• Media belongs to Company (and also Project) — files and documents can be attached directly to a company or to a specific project.
• Company — no parent entity; companies are the primary, top-level records in the system.
