Faster Team Space: everything in one place
Give every case, client or project its own team chat. The people working it, the conversation, and the work itself, docs, sheets and maps, all live there, so nobody hunts through email for the latest version.
Watch the presentationFor example: a law firm’s personal-injury case, Marlow v. Cascade Freight, with its demand letter, depositions map and settle-or-litigate numbers in one chat. (The case is fictional.) The same fields, settings and functions build anything you can imagine for your business.
A chat for each case, client or project
In Team Chat, choose Create Team Chat and pick the people involved. A case usually needs a handful: here an associate, a paralegal, an investigator, a legal assistant and a trial consultant. For firm-wide news, Everyone on the team adds all sixty members in one click.
Named for the work
Open the new chat, choose Settings and name it for the case. Everyone sees it by that name, and the Assistant can find it by name too.
The work lives in the conversation
Insert the case’s work into a message, next to what you have to say about it. Each opens right in the chat, and stays where the team can find it.
- Docs: the demand letter, drafts, memos.
- Maps: where each deposition and the site visit happen.
- Sheets: the settle-or-litigate numbers, worked out, so the chat shows the answer.
- Reports, forms, media and apps too.
Find anything, focus on what you need
Find searches the words of every message and document in the chat. Filter narrows it by when (today, this week, this month), by who posted, and by what: docs, sheets, maps, reports, forms or media.
The Assistant drafts, then shares
Ask the Assistant for what you need, in plain words: here, an outline for deposing the other side’s truck driver, based on the demand letter. It drafts the doc for you to review and create, then posts it to the case chat when you ask, so the whole team has it.
Ready for the team
In the case chat, the Assistant’s line says the outline is ready for review, with the doc right under it. Anyone in the chat can open it, comment in the conversation, and keep going.
Questions teams ask
Who sees what, and how it fits the way you already work.
- Who can see a chat? Only its members see the conversation. Anything inserted into it is opened to your whole team, so every chat member can open it.
- Can it be one chat per client instead of per case? Yes: per case, client, project, or anything else. Name it for whatever you work on.
- Does it replace email threads? For the team, yes: the conversation and the current version of every file sit together, in order.
- Are members told about new messages? Yes: unread chats stand out in Team Chat, and members can get email notifications too.
